Please help me I am drownding: San Francisco’s Dark Decade

May 24 2018 — May 27 2018
Description
From 1969 to 1978, San Francisco spiraled from the “Summer of Love” into a long period of unease and uncertainty involving crimes and acts of violence previously unimaginable.

From gritty grindhouse to big-budget Hollywood, this series offers diverse cinematic representations of this upside-down decade in our city. The title comes from a letter sent by the Zodiac killer to San Francisco attorney Melvin Belli in 1969.
