Arab Film Festival presents
Environs of Seeing: Experimental Documentaries
Tue, Oct 28, 6:30 pm & 9 pm
$8 regular, $6 seniors, students & teachers, $6 YBCA Members
The work in these programs, from Lebanon, Syria, and the UK, is marked by an interest in place, perception, and the relationship between them-the environs of seeing. The videos in the first program, all made around Beirut, reflect on the sensed experience of war, everyday life, and the videomaker's role in documenting it; those in the second program show how place mediates artistic expression and even identity itself. Tonight’s program showcases experimental documentaries. Curated by Peter Limbrick, co-presented with Kino 21.
