World Premiere!
Sep 18–20, 2008
One of the Bay Area’s most compelling choreographers returns to YBCA with a thrilling new work, commissioned especially for Bay Area Now 5, about the divine impulse of artistic creation. Since 1995, Robert Moses and his company of beautifully athletic dancers have created works ranging from neoclassical ballet to postmodern movement theatre. His choreography is a powerful combination of athleticism and rhythmic complexity—and he always pushes himself forward to resist stagnation. Don’t miss this special evening with one of the most exciting Bay Area contemporary dance companies to emerge in the past decade.
