The surprise hit of the 2007 New York Film Festival, Robinson has created a body of work exploring the poetics of loss and the dangers of mediated experience. Often using obscure found images and too-familiar pop songs, his work flirts with a resigned pessimism; yet, it dares to find hope in the very heart of despair. The program will include a variety of short films and videos made from 2000 to the present.
