Raise your awareness, lower your inhibitions and celebrate the "State of the Queer Nation" at Big Idea Night, YBCA's FREE pARTy on Sat, Nov 14. Learn more about YBCA's Big Idea, "Bridging the Gap," which focuses on cultural distance and how to close gaps of misunderstandings between people.

Show off your pink triangle fashions at the “Soapbox Social” from 7–9 pm. Queer luminaries each deliver a five-minute State of the Union address followed by cocktails and conversation. Participants include Therese Stewart (Deputy City Attorney and Marriage Equality Advocate), Sister Vicious Power Hungry Bitch (co-founder of Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc.), Ryan Clary (Project Inform), and Anna Conda (Queerer Nation and Charlie Horse).

BIG IDEA BUTTONS
Be on the lookout for volunteers handing out free buttons to the first 500 people. A select few will get you special access into the Members Lounge for the evening, and all buttons are redeemable for special discounts on upcoming programs.

1-MINUTE VIDEOS
Submit a 1-minute-or-less video answering the following question: “What is the biggest priority for the queer community today, and what are or aren’t you doing about it?” We’ll be projecting the collected testimonials throughout the night, Citizen Kane-style, so get ready for your close-up.
