Young Artists at Work
Make Art, Make Friends & Earn $200 a Month
Young Artists at Work is a paid, multidisciplinary arts, activism, and job training after-school program for San Francisco public high school teens. Students will develop artistic skills in bi-weekly workshops led by professional artists that will culminate in a public presentation of your work. Choose to explore visual or performance art. All classes are held at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts; Tue-Fri, 4:30–6:30 pm. Put your art and activist skills into action during the summer through an internship at a variety of arts organization and gain hands-on experience in arts leadership!
YAAW 2011 Program Application Will Be Available in September 2010!
YBCA is currently not recruiting for its award-winning Young Artists at Work program. Through the 2011 application, available in September 2010, and interview process, up to 30 youth are selected for the program. Young Artists receive artists training from professional artists, engaging in a creative exploration that culminates in a public presentation of their work. Young Artists also learn how to extend their skills to serve the public through community-based projects and summer internships.

As a young artist you will:

- Attend/Participate YBCA Gallery Openings, Events, Exhibitions, and Performances.
