by Bob Hercules and Gordon Quinn
(Trailer) We follow the acclaimed director/choreographer as he and his company create their most ambitious work, an original dance-theater piece in honor of Abraham Lincoln's Bicentennial. Through two tumultuous years, we witness raw moments of frustration as Jones struggles to communicate his vision to his dancers and collaborators, as well as moments of great exhilaration when movement transcends the limitation of words. Bill T. Jones: Still/Here with Bill MoyersOct 12, 2013 4:30pm
FREE with RSVP
by David Grubin
Journalist Bill Moyers and filmmaker David Grubin give viewers a rare glimpse into Jones' creation of the highly acclaimed dance Still/Here. At workshops around the country, people facing life-threatening illnesses are asked to remember the highs and lows of their lives, and even imagine their own deaths. They then transform their feelings into expressive movement, which Jones incorporates into dance. (1997, 57 min, digital)
